Angels and Radiants seem to be closely related in nature but they are, in fact, different entities.
They were both last seen during the War of Dawn and Dusk.
Because they both sort of faded out and into myth, common folk have just conflated the two even further.
They notably fought on opposing sides during that conflict, the descendants of Lathyrus would be the ones most likely to be able to recall the difference
